Retail Assistant, Florist - Training provided (Full time)

 

The florist ambassador will provide excellent customer service, sales advisory, and flower arrangement services to help customers at the retail outlets. If you are from the service or retail industry, are customer oriented and willing to pick up new skills (floral arrangement), you're welcome to apply!

 

Full-time:

  • 6 Full time vacancies available. Located at Causeway point, Northpoint, Vivocity, Nex, Tampines Mall. (do note you have to cover shifts at nearby areas).
  • Retail hours. 6-12 hour shifts between 9.30am - 10.00pm, weekday and weekends. 5 day workweek.
  • Also available: Production Florist at Macpherson (Office hours, with one working weekend day)


Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers and provide excellent advisory on flowers selection, pricing and customisation
  • Learn flower skills to create arrangements for on the spot purchase

Procurement Assistant

 

The Procurement Assistant supports the Logistics & Procurement teams for various warehouse-related functions, such as updating and maintaining inventory control databases, and ensuring that orders are received, verified for accuracy, and tracked.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship, deliver). e.g. fresh flowers, baskets, other stock items for internal outlets
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (unload, label, store)
  • Order stocks from suppliers
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with other department colleagues
  • Perform inventory controls and keep track of stock/product availability


Requirements

  • 5.5-day workweek (4 weekdays, alternate Sat or Sun)
  • Minimum Higher NITEC
  • Some experience preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and track multiple processes
  • Proficiency in inventory software; knowledge in Microsoft Word/Excel is beneficial

Cafe Manager / Cafe Assistant Manager


Responsibilities

The Cafe Manager / Assistant Manager organizes daily operations, oversees the cafe revenue, and motivates our staff to provide excellent customer service. To be successful in this role you should have related work experience with various roles in the F&B industry.   • Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe

Cafe Chef


Responsibilities

The Cafe Chef is a highly skilled professional cook who oversees the BOH operations of our dining cafe. He will manage the budget and ensures the quality of kitchen operations. He will also manage and inspire the kitchen team towards a high standard of efficiency; and to ensure that the issues that arise within the team will be rectified in a positive and professional manner.

He is creative and is willing to experiment with new and seasonal menu options. He is an ambitious, passionate and driven individual and will lead a team to ensure that our food maintains the highest quality. He has good communication skills and has in-depth knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.

His duties may also include recruiting of new BOH employees and responding to customers’ issues and queries.

  • Overall management of kitchen manpower, including overseeing the scheduling and rostering of staff and delegation of other tasks accordingly
  • Mentoring of junior chefs/cooks and train them with ability to manage contingencies
  • Manage all activities in the kitchen, including menu, food preparation and production
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective operation and profitability of food production
  • Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary and in perfect operating order

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar environment ( western setting ) and experience in a culinary leadership role is preferred

  • Must possess the Food Safety & Hygiene Certification
